Reutzel and RSR highlight Arizona visit with Friday podium; Vado, Route 66, Dodge City all ahead

KNOXVILLE, Iowa (March 23, 2026) - In all, it was a sound three days at Central Arizona Raceway for “A-Aron” Aaron Reutzel and Ridge & Sons Racing (RSR), concluding the Cactus Classic featuring High Limit Racing by capturing back-to-back top-five results - a picture perfect ending after their efforts started with a roll over on Thursday, March 19.
Reutzel, ace of the Power Plus, Folkens Brothers Trucking, Don Long & STC, B And L Holdings, Rasmusson Service Center, Bargain Barn, No. 87 sprinter, finished second and fifth in his back-to-back top-five outcomes, leading the first seven laps on Friday, March 20, before charging ahead four spots in Saturday’s Casa Grande finale.
As noted, the weekend kicked-off on a bad note, taking a tumble on Thursday due to a nowhere-to-go situation; he was scored 19th. With all results considered, even the negative, Reutzel and RSR remain well within the top-five of the High Limit Racing championship chase, currently fourth in the standings with a 34-point gap separating the Iowa team from the top.
“Not the way we wanted the weekend to start, but like we’ve shown so many times in the past, we were able to recover and put up big numbers on Friday and Saturday,” Ryan Wyant, RSR Team Manager, said. “Hats off to this entire team. Their ability to persevere never ceases to amaze us. Here’s to a big week ahead including a stop at Vado tomorrow night.”
ON DECK:
Aaron Reutzel and Ridge & Sons Racing will continue their 2026 season with another High Limit Racing triple, this time visiting Vado Speedway Park in New Mexico on Tuesday, March 24, followed by weekend trips to Route 66 Motor Speedway in Texas and Dodge City Raceway Park in Kansas on Friday and Saturday, March 27-28.
The event at Vado will be televised live on FS1.
