Reutzel Ready for Big Weekend – Four Races on Tap!

Lonnie Wheatley, CLUTE, Texas (May 24, 2019) – It has been a while.

In fact, since the last All Star Circuit of Champions event was logged into the books on April 11, Aaron Reutzel and the Baughman-Reutzel Motorsports No. 87 Sprint Car team have only been able to get on the track twice in the past 42 days due to Mother Nature.

That should all change this weekend with an All Star weekend triple in Ohio followed up by a Monday night World of Outlaws card in Indiana.

“We’re just ready to race, I think we’ve all had enough of the rain,” Reutzel says.

The All Star portion of the weekend begins at Attica Raceway Park on Friday night before moving on to Orrville’s Wayne County Raceway on Saturday and then Fremont Speedway on Sunday. Reutzel will finish out the Memorial Day weekend of action aboard Folkens Brothers Trucking/Dissolvalloy Downhole Revolution Triple-X with the World of Outlaws at Lawrenceburg Speedway on Monday.

The reigning All Star Circuit of Champions titlist and current points leader looks to build upon that advantage with this weekend’s set of events aboard the Precision Catalyst/Hollywood Blasting & Coating/Beard Equipment machine.

Reutzel posted three top-tens at Attica Raceway Park last year in series action along with another pair of top-tens at Wayne County Raceway. Reutzel landed a sixth-place finish in his first visit to Fremont Speedway two years ago and rallied through the Lawrenceburg field for a seventh-place showing in World of Outlaws action last year.

This weekend’s action will be the first time back on track for Reutzel and the Nattress Construction/Momentum Racing Suspensions team since a 14th-place showing in World of Outlaws competition at Ohio’s Eldora Speedway on May 10.

“We struggled a little bit there with the motor,” Reutzel recalls. “It turned out that we had a problem with a spark plug. We weren’t really able to focus on our setup because we were trying to get that figured out.”

After a rain-induced hiatus, Reutzel and the BRM No. 87 are ready to get back to business this weekend.

2019 Quick Stats: 21 races, 1 win, 6 top-fives, 11 top-tens.
